Overview

Life Craft ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website lifecraftcircle.com and the Life Craft self-knowledge course platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.

We take your privacy seriously. Life Craft is designed as a private space for honest self-reflection. The content of your learning — your reflection notes, your progress, your personal exploration — belongs to you and is never shared, monetised, or used to target you with advertising.

The short version: We collect only what we need to run the course. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your reflection work stays private to you.

02

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information — your first name and email address when you register
  • Password — stored in hashed form; we cannot read your actual password
  • Assessment responses — if you complete the self-knowledge quiz or Wheel of Life audit, your responses are saved to personalise your course recommendations

Information collected automatically:

  • Course progress — which sessions you have completed, your last session, active learning days
  • Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, screen resolution (used for technical compatibility only)
  • Usage data — pages visited, time spent, general navigation patterns (anonymised and aggregated)

Information we do not collect:

  • Payment card details (we do not process payments in Phase 1)
  • Your journal or reflection notes (these are never transmitted to our servers)
  • Precise location data
  • Social media profile data
03

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve the Life Craft platform:

  • To create and manage your account
  • To save your course progress and resume where you left off
  • To personalise pillar recommendations based on your assessment results
  • To send transactional emails — account verification, password reset (no marketing emails without your explicit consent)
  • To diagnose and fix technical issues
  • To understand how the course is being used in aggregate, so we can improve it

We will never use your information to build advertising profiles, sell to third parties, or send unsolicited commercial communications.

04

Data Storage & Security

During Phase 1, your course progress and account data is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. This means your data does not leave your device unless you explicitly interact with account features.

When account data is transmitted to our servers (for registration and login), it is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS). Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are one-way hashed before storage.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. However, no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your data is stored on servers located in India and/or the European Union, depending on the hosting infrastructure in use at the time. We will update this policy if storage locations change materially.

05

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Period.

We may share limited information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — trusted third parties who help us operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, analytics). These parties are contractually bound to use your data only to provide the service to us and not for any other purpose.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, we may disclose information we hold. We will notify you of such requests where legally permitted to do so.
  • Business transfer — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

In all cases, we share the minimum information necessary and require the same standard of data protection we apply ourselves.

06

Cookies & Tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies and local storage to make the platform work:

  • Session cookies — to keep you logged in during a browsing session
  • Local storage — to save your course progress on your device
  • Analytics — anonymised, aggregated data to understand how the course is used. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not track individuals across sites.

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use third-party tracking pixels. You can clear your browser's cookies and local storage at any time, though this will reset your saved progress on that device.

07

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Portability — request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to certain uses of your data
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@lifecraftcircle.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

08

Children's Privacy

Life Craft is designed for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@lifecraftcircle.com and we will delete it promptly.

09

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.

Your continued use of Life Craft after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
